Explosively floral nose - the usual exotic Mouton fruit underlined by 16% of ripe merlot.

A balanced blend of 89% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot and the rest cabernet franc, brought up in new barrels.

Decadent and rich aromas of black cherries and plums with wet earth and sandalwood. Turns to dried mushrooms.

Notes of crème de cassis, vanillin and spicy oak, more tannin than many of the Pauillacs, and a solid, medium-bodied, concentrated, muscular Cabernet Sauvignon personality.
